Surfer Girl

Mary is doing this funny thing when she is down on the floor. She gets up on one knee, thrusts her foot forward and balances there for a minute, before plopping back down into a crawling stance. Papa Bob says it looks like she's surfing! I think she thinks she is standing. She does it all the time, so of course I had to snap a few pictures the other day.

Maybe we have a future balance beam enthusiast on our hands!

The Big Reveal

Sooooo Big!

Mary plays this little game now where we say, "How big is Mary?" And then when we say "So big!" she throws her arms into the air. She is VERY serious about this game, she reaches wayyyyy up as high as her little arms can reach. She is quite proud of herself!

At Least He Didn't Lie About It

I've been so busy lately and thus my little blog has been neglected. I just wanted to share this quick story from this morning. Today I ran four errands in a row, all of them included me trying on clothes or waiting around for quite awhile. The kids were wonderful. I got the impression that someone had switched my normal children with angel children when I wasn't looking.

Then I got home and they had definitely been switched back. I was scurrying around, putting some things away and I heard a scream of indignation from Mary. I turned around and asked Nathaniel, "Did you just hurt Mary?" His response: "I don't want to tell you".

I took that as a yes. *sigh*
