Wagon Fun

We are so anxious for spring weather around here that even though it was only in the 40's over the weekend, we bundled up the kids for a quick wagon ride around the neighborhood. I was worried Mary would fuss about being cold or be scared of the wagon, but she LOVED it and giggled almost the entire time. I think she felt like such a big girl being pulled around with her brother! Here are some pictures and a video!

Candidly Cute

About once a month or so I try to get a decent siblings picture for the scrapbook. This month's attempt to get both children looking at the camera and smiling was a dismal failure. I gave up at some point and just kept shooting the two of them giggling and playing together. I think these pictures will make a better scrapbook page, anyway!

The Littlest Bachelorette

Mary and I flew to Chicago last weekend to surprise my sister Colleen with a fun bachelorette evening, and then on Sunday we had her bridal shower as well. Just wanted to share a picture of Mary with the bride-to-be on our big night out!

Welcome, Spring!

We are in the middle of a March heat wave and it is SO nice! It's supposed to reach 60 degrees here today so we attempted to usher in spring by making our first trip to the park this season. It was Mary's first time getting to enjoy the park. She tried out the slide and the bouncy spring animals. I wanted to put her in the baby swing but there was a deep puddle underneath, so we'll try again after everything finishes melting and drying up! Nathaniel was in heaven. We've been driving by this park frequently on our way to various places, it's sort of a backroad kind of a way, and everytime he chatters on about how he wants to play there. It looks like a big pirate ship, so enticing to a 2 year old! I keep telling him to wait until it's warm! So today he was super excited that we went. All the way home he kept saying, "I had fun at the park, Mommy!"

Nathaniel is really into "structures" lately. He was very excited about the tunnel and bridge!

First Pancake

Mary had her very first pancake over the weekend! Daddy makes his yummy pancakes almost every Saturday morning and since Mary has been doing really well with solids lately we decided to let her in on the family fun.
