Elbo and Friends

Our "big" Christmas present to the kids this year was tickets to Sesame Street Live. It is perfect timing because they're both at an age where they could mostly sit through this kind of thing, and they both LOVE Sesame Street right now. We met Daddy near his office this morning and walked to the Target Center for a 10:30am show. Mary had no idea what was going on until she started seeing flyers posted up near the arena, and she started yelling "Elbo!" (her pronunciation for Elmo) and "Abby!", her second favorite Sesame character, the flying fairy.

Nathaniel was confused as to what a live show was... over the past week he kept asking me if there was going to be a really big TV screen, probably remembering the movie I took him to. When the first character came out on stage Nathaniel's expression was priceless. His mouth DROPPED open and his eyes got REALLY big and he was enthralled for the entire show. Mary had a few antsy moments, but overall was happy to sit and wave frantically to the characters and dance to the music. Every once in awhile there would be a pop of confetti and Mary would say "Whoaaaa!" with the crowd!

Here are some pictures of our fun morning!

Waiting for the show to begin:

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

The finale with confetti!

Oh, we went to that with Marie and Jaci a long time ago. It really is a blast and they really are at a great age! Looks like it was so much fun!
