Even Toddlers Have Limitations

Just before his nap this afternoon Nathaniel turned to me and said dramatically, "OH NO!"

Me: What, honey?
Nathaniel: Oh no, oh no, Mama!
Me: What's wrong, Nathaniel?
Nathaniel: (throwing his arms into the air and jumping) I want to fly up! I can't fly up!
Me: That's right, honey. We can't fly up. But we can pretend.
Nathaniel: I want to fly up! See the stars! See the moon!
Me: Me too, Nathaniel!
