Once upon a time there was a little boy named Nathaniel, his Daddy, Papa, Nervous Mommy, and a sled. One winter day Daddy and Papa decided to take Nathaniel out to the hill by the lake for his first downhill sledding experience. Nathaniel had been pulled in a sled in his backyard the year before, but never down any sort of incline. Daddy, Papa, and Nervous Mommy were all excited for this new experience and brought a camera to record this historic moment.
That is, until he saw the hill he was about to be shoved down.
He shut his eyes TIGHT and whooshed down the hill!
Nervous Mommy rushed over to see Nathaniel's reaction and he laid still in a state of shock for a minute before eventually proclaiming, "I okay!" and then, "I all done!"

Daddy then attempted to demonstrate the funness of sledding downhill.

However, Nathaniel was not buying it. Finally, Nervous Mommy suggested everyone move over to the lake for some slightly less dangerous sledding action. At first Nathaniel even resisted this idea, but then took one look at the lake and saw that there are "CARS ON THE LAKE, Mama!"
Daddy, using Nathaniel's distraction to his advantage, quickly put Nathaniel on the sled again and ran around and around pulling him. And then a wondrous thing happened. Nathaniel decided he liked this kind of sledding!
At first Nathaniel was happily apprehensive. He had never had any reason to distrust his Daddy or Papa or even Nervous Mommy before, so he figured he was in for a fun adventure.

This time he screamed a little as he was whooshing down the hill, and he promptly informed the crowd again, "I all done!"

That's a great story! I'll have to read it to the girls as I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it. Although Lily feels the same way about sledding downhill. She told us she doesn't like the snow going in her face. :(
LOL Glad he ended up enjoying it. We don't really get snow around here, but Fritz loves to be pulled around on a blanket much like Nathaniel was being pulled around on the sled.
